Shine Fights officially adds “Cacareco” vs. Patterson to “Worlds Collide”

In a bout previously reported by MMAjunkie.com (), submission wizard Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira (18-6) faces IFL veteran Jamal Patterson (5-2).The pair meets on the main card of "Worlds Collide: Mayorga vs. Thomas," which features a main event between former boxing champ Ricardo Mayorga and UFC vet Din Thomas and takes place May 15 at Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C. a plan to make all of this right
The main card of the event airs live on pay-per-view, which carries a $29.95 price tag.
Ferreira currently carries a seven-fight win streak. All seven wins have come via submission with four of the victories earned in less than 40 seconds."Cacareco" has earned 17 of his 18 career wins by submission and counts notables Heath Herring, Fabio Maldonado, Lew Polley, Shannon Ritch and Bob Schrijber among his victories."Root for me and expect a great show," Ferreira stated in today's release. Patterson (5-2) fought six times for the now-defunct IFL and earned a 4-2 record in the organization. The New Jersey resident made his professional debut at the IFL's very first event in April 2006 and would go on to earn a pair of wins over Matt Horwich, as well as additional victories over Alex Schoenauer and Chris Following the collapse of the IFL, Patterson returned to ation in February. "He's a very good fighter, submission guy, tough guy, lots of experience," Patterson stated. "But I think hes going to give me some opportunities to end the fight. I think I'm a little more well-rounded, and I think my chance will come."
Ferreira had been expected to face Bellator middleweight champ Hector Lombard in March, but with the card pushed back to May, the judoka was unavailable, thus clearing the way for Patterson to step in.
